Patricia founded UpWord Communications after a career as an award-winning journalist and communications professional. She has worked in the legal, high-tech, and research sectors and is an unapologetic believer in the power of words to change lives.

 

At UpWord, Patricia’s mission is to onboard new clients and craft bespoke communication plans for each one, ensuring that the services we provide are the perfect fit to help them achieve their marketing goals.

 

In her spare time, Patricia loves hiking with her husband and BFF (best furry friend), running, practising yoga and devouring books on how to deliver the ultimate client experience.

Sam is the Head of Business Development at UpWord Communications. An established industry professional with more than 20 years of experience, Sam has an in-depth understanding of the legal marketing landscape in Canada.  

Her clients appreciate her passion, sense of humour and willingness to go above and beyond.  

A Toronto native, Sam enjoys cooking, travelling and happily admits to being a bit of a wine snob.

Jennifer comes to UpWord after two decades as an editor and publisher at national magazines and newspapers. Professionally, she has deep roots in the legal and security sectors.

 

At UpWord, Jennifer oversees content strategy and media training to ensure clients are positioned as thought leaders in their industries.

 

When she’s not doling out her expertise on all things content marketing, Jennifer can be found testing out new recipes and exploring the wild country with her husband and their Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers.
